Kuala Lumpur – If you’re a whiskey lover, you owe it to yourself to try Glencadam Single Malt Whiskies. Located in the Scottish Highlands, Glencadam has been producing high-quality single-malt whiskies for over 150 years. Their dedication to quality and tradition shines through in every bottle they produce. The good news is that Single and Available has brought seven Glencadam single malt whiskies to Malaysia!

Available from May 2023 in specialist retail outlets and selected bars, they comprise the non-age stated Glencadam Origin 1825, Glencadam American Oak Reserve, and Glencadam Reserva Andalucía, as well as the age-stated Glencadam 10 Year Old, Glencadam 13 Year Old, Glencadam 15 Year Old, and prestigious Glencadam 25 Year Old.

“We’re delighted to be working with Single Malt Sdn Bhd to bring our single malts to Malaysia. At Glencadam Distillery we take great pride in doing things the traditional way since our founding in 1825, and we’re confident that whisky fans here in Malaysia will appreciate our complex, sweet, and fruity character that spans across the Glencadam range,” says Iain Forteath, the Master Blender of Glencadam.

One of the things that set Glencadam apart from other single-malt whiskies is its unique distillation process. Unlike many other distilleries, Glencadam uses only unpeated malted barley in their whisky, which gives their whiskies a distinctive flavour profile that is unlike anything else on the market. Additionally, Glencadam uses only locally sourced spring water in its production process, which gives its whiskies a clean and refreshing taste.

Another reason to try Glencadam Single Malt Whiskies is their commitment to ageing their whiskies in only the finest oak casks. Glencadam whiskies are aged in a combination of ex-bourbon, ex-sherry, and virgin oak casks, which gives their whiskies a complexity and depth of flavour that is hard to find elsewhere. The result is a range of rich and complex whiskies, with a depth of flavour that will keep you coming back for more.

One thing that makes Glencadam Single Malt Whiskies so special is the range of flavours and aromas found in each bottle. Depending on the age and type of whisky you choose, you may find notes of honey, vanilla, citrus, dried fruit, or even a hint of smoke. The complexity of Glencadam’s whiskies means that there is something for everyone, whether you prefer a sweeter, fruitier whisky or a more complex, smoky dram.

Finally, Glencadam Single Malt Whiskies are incredibly versatile, making them an excellent choice for any occasion. Whether you’re sipping on a glass of whisky after dinner, enjoying a dram with friends, or even using Glencadam in your favourite cocktail recipe, you’ll find that their whiskies are the perfect addition to any occasion.

“We are excited to bring Glencadam to the Malaysian market, whose appetite for value and quality single malt whiskies continue to rise. The range of Glencadam whiskies available here reflect that demand; starting from the accessible and pleasing for whisky fans, to the mature and premium single malts for the discerning drinker,” adds Shareen Yew, founder and director of Single and Available.

In 2003, Angus Dundee Distillers, an independent Scottish company, purchased the Distillery. Angus Dundee Distillers’ unique production process, 60 years of experience and commitment to ageing in only the finest oak casks, and range of flavours and aromas make Glencadam, located in the Eastern Highlands of Scotland, a must-try for any whiskey lover.
