Kuala Lumpur – The much-anticipated Kita Food Festival dining events in Kuala Lumpur will kick off on Friday, November 25th with a trio of dinners featuring a stellar lineup of award-winning and Michelin-starred Singapore-based chefs. Tickets are available here.
As a champion of Malaysia’s emerging culinary scene, Kita Food Festival aims to draw attention to Malaysia’s rising status among the global restaurant scene while highlighting the importance of the country’s culinary heritage and ethical producers, providing inspiration and training for the next generation of food producers, and building a platform for thought leadership and community.

November 26th
Flock, W Kuala Lumpur
The feasting begins with a stylish lunch at Flock, W Kuala Lumpur’s all day diner. Here, California cuisine king, David Tang of Rosemead in Singapore will join forces with grill master extraordinaire of Kuala Lumpur’s perpetually sold-out Atelier Binchotan, and Haznizam Hamzah – the mastermind behind the the colourful creations at vibrant, down-to-earth Flock, inspired by bold Pan-Asian flavors.

Entier
A final series of dinners on Sunday starts with a sumptuous French feast at KL’s much-lauded Entier, where chef Jeremy Gillon of Singapore’s one-Michelin starred Restaurant JAG comes together with the maestro of melding French and Japanese cuisine, Masashi Horiuchi.
Raw Kitchen Hall
Chilean chef Cristian Encina will bring punchy South American flavours to the freshly minted Raw Kitchen Hall at Else Kuala Lumpur, the city’s hottest new small luxury hotel. Together with Raw Kitchen Hall’s Head Chef – Chef Leong Chee Mun and Chef Jun Wong (of the soon-to-launch Yellow Fin Horse), the trio will create a series of bold Latin-Asian dishes that are big on personality, dynamic on taste. Think sharing plates featuring seasonal local ingredients and bursting with flavour.

W Kuala Lumpur
Kita’s first TED Talk-style event, titled ‘Conversations & Ideas,’ will be a full-day symposium in which trends, ideas, and major issues shaping the food world in Asia today will be discussed and revealed! This series of talks and panel discussions is designed by the F&B industry for the F&B industry: chefs, cooks, producers, and F&B professionals. It is informative, enlightening, and possibly even controversial.
Dynamic hotelier and restaurateur Loh Lik Peng, CEO of Unlisted Collection will share about identifying talent and how does he pick so many winners? From two-Michelin-starred Cloudstreet, Rishi Neleendra will discuss the transition from chef to successful businessman. Legendary chef Daniel Chavez will talk about the rise of vegan and vegetarianism- is it a trend, or is it here to stay? and Jordy Navarra will outline The Art of Hospitality: Building the connection between the kitchen and the Front of House.
There will be conversations on sourcing and traceability, dealing with no-shows diplomatically and without losing money, authenticity in traditional cuisine, and women’s growing role in today’s commercial kitchens. Top that off with great food, networking, and a cocktail hour to wrap up the day.
